Sephora UK has unveiled its newest store in Glasgow, Scotland, at the Silverburn shopping centre, further expanding its physical presence in the UK. The 4,940sqft space is the retailer’s 17th location in the country and the final addition to its 'Sephora Summer' 2026 lineup of new openings across the UK. The store offers a curated selection of exclusive beauty brands, including Tower 28, Topicals, Fazit, Merit, and Makeup by Mario. It also highlights homegrown Scottish brands such as Vieve, founded by Jamie Genevieve, and Byoma, created by Marc Elrick. Visitors can explore these offerings while experiencing Sephora’s new Beauty Scan technology, which uses an advanced lens to assess skin factors like oil and hydration levels, enabling Beauty Advisors to provide tailored foundation shade recommendations. ## A Strategic Expansion Sarah Boyd, Managing Director of Sephora UK, expressed pride in the Glasgow opening, noting the strong response to the brand’s Edinburgh store, which debuted in July 2026. She emphasized that Sephora aims to create more than just a shopping destination-it’s a space for discovery, experimentation, and inspiration. The Glasgow store’s launch follows Sephora’s recent introduction of a boutique store concept on London’s Carnaby Street, a smaller-format space developed based on customer feedback. Diarmuid Donohoe, General Manager of Silverburn, called Sephora’s arrival in Scotland one of the biggest retail stories of the summer. He highlighted the shopping centre’s appeal to international brands and the excitement among Glaswegians for the new store. The opening celebrations were expected to receive a warm welcome from the local community. ## Enhancing the Beauty Experience Sephora’s Glasgow store is part of the retailer’s broader strategy to enhance the in-store beauty experience. The Beauty Scan technology, operated by Beauty Advisors, allows for precise shade-matching and personalized product recommendations. This innovation aligns with Sephora’s commitment to providing a dynamic and interactive shopping environment. The launch also underscores Sephora’s ongoing expansion in the UK, with plans to reach 20 stores by the end of 2026. The retailer continues to innovate, recently introducing initiatives like Quiet Hours shopping and the Sephoria beauty festival, further solidifying its position as a leader in the beauty industry.
