Neal's Yard Remedies Expands Store Footprint and Enters Fragrance Market

Neal's Yard Remedies, a heritage brand founded in London in 1981, is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a significant expansion of its store footprint in the UK. The company has opened three new stores in the past year, including two in London and one in Manchester, as part of its "experiential beauty" offering.

The new stores, located in Manchester's Arndale shopping centre, Spitalfields in London, and Westfield White City, provide a sensorial retail environment where customers can discover personalized wellbeing advice and experience the brand's "Store of the Future" concept. This concept features dedicated consultation areas, apothecary-style aromatherapy walls, and a preserved oak tree that embodies the brand's logo.

According to Anabel Kindersley, CEO and Co-Owner of Neal's Yard Remedies, the company's stores perform "neck-on-neck" with its e-commerce platform, making expansion of its physical store footprint a strategic move. The brand has also seen significant growth in its other channels, including a 30% increase in sales through e-commerce platforms like Amazon.

In addition to its store expansion, Neal's Yard Remedies has also entered the fragrance market with the launch of mood-boosting perfumes. The company has launched three new fragrances as part of its entry into the market.

Neal's Yard Remedies has 21 standalone stores in the UK, but is also available in more than 180 retail locations in England. The company's focus on its hero ranges, including Wild Rosehip, has also seen significant growth, with the addition of new products such as Wild Rosehip Glow Cleansing Oil and Wild Rosehip Glow Cream.
