PCHi 2027 Opens Registration, Award Entries

Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions has opened visitor pre-registration for PCHi 2027. The major beauty ingredients exhibition is scheduled for February 24 to 26, 2027, at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

Ahead of the event, the organizer has also launched the call for entries for the PCHi Fountain Awards 2027. These awards are designed to highlight innovation in cosmetic ingredients and formulation technologies.

Event Scope and Previous Scale

PCHi is positioned as the first major beauty ingredients exhibition of the year. It brings together formulators, brand owners, R&D professionals, regulatory specialists, and buyers from China and across the Asia-Pacific region.

The 2026 edition provides a benchmark for its scale. It attracted more than 50,000 trade visitors. Over 860 exhibitors from 72 countries and regions also participated.

Focus on Science-Backed Beauty

The 2027 edition will reflect a key industry trend: the growing demand for scientifically validated ingredients and efficacy claims. Brands are increasingly seeking to support product performance with biological mechanisms, clinical data, and regulatory compliance. PCHi aims to provide a platform for suppliers, researchers, and formulators to exchange technical expertise on these matters.

The exhibition will span seven halls dedicated to ingredient and formulation innovation. It will run alongside the PCHi Annual Industry Conference, technical forums, and networking events.

Fountain Awards and Entry Criteria

Innovation will be recognized through the PCHi Fountain Awards. Entries are now open to exhibitors. The awards, created in 2010 and renamed in 2017, recognize breakthrough technologies across five specific categories: Active Ingredients, Pioneering Innovative Ingredients, Formulation & Functional Ingredients, Green/Sustainable solutions, and Self-Developed Ingredients from finished-product brands and OEM/ODM companies.

For 2027, the organizer has introduced a refined evaluation framework. It is built around five criteria: technical excellence, scientific validity, efficacy and safety, practical application and market potential, and the quality of supporting documentation.

The judging panel includes representatives from regulatory bodies, industry associations, universities, and major beauty brands. Members of the Cosmetics Science & Technology Innovation Committee (CSTIC) will also judge.

Submission Rules and Timeline

Only PCHi 2027 exhibitors are eligible to submit entries for the Fountain Awards. Products must have been launched on or after November 1, 2025. Each company may submit up to three products.

The submission deadline is November 23, 2026. Finalists will be announced in late January 2027. Winners will be unveiled during the PCHi Fountain Awards Ceremony on February 24, 2027, which is the opening day of the exhibition itself.
