ALPOL Cosmétique Launches Three Hybrid Sunscreens for 2026
ALPOL Cosmétique has unveiled three new SPF 50+ hybrid sun care products for 2026, targeting the growing European demand for daily protection that combines

ALPOL Cosmétique has launched three new hybrid sun care products for 2026. The SPF 50+ innovations were unveiled at the in-cosmetics Global 2026 trade show, capitalizing on the rapid growth of daily protection products in Europe.
According to Clémence Thory, Marketing and Communications Manager at ALPOL Cosmétique, pharmacy brands first established this daily protection step. Consumers now seek products that go beyond UV protection. They want hydration, radiance, and dark spot correction. Textures are becoming lighter and formats are diversifying.
Three SPF 50+ Launches
The manufacturer's 2026 portfolio includes a CC cream, a tinted serum, and an anti-dark spot fluid. All three products offer SPF 50+ protection alongside additional cosmetic or skincare benefits.
| Product | Key Features |
|---|---|
| CC Cream SPF 50+ | Combines complexion enhancement with high protection; encapsulated pigments for a nude finish; lightweight, melting texture. |
| Perfectint Serum SPF 50+ | Ultra-fluid tinted serum with a dry-powder finish; includes hydrating ectoine. |
| Ultra-Fluid Anti-Dark Spot SPF 50+ | Targets photoaging and hyperpigmentation; prevents new UV-induced dark spots. |
The CC Cream is developed around the skinminimalism trend. It can be used alone or as a makeup base. "It's a highly protective product with an ultra-soft finish," explains Clémence Thory. The Perfectint Serum emphasizes texture over makeup expertise. Thory states the goal remains a skincare and protection step with an ultra-sensory feel. The anti-dark spot product uses a three-pronged approach against photoaging.
Protection as the Core Principle
For ALPOL Cosmétique, adding secondary benefits must not compromise a sunscreen's primary protective function. Angéline Tireau, Head of Foresight, Sunscreen and Testing, insists every product is first and foremost a sunscreen.
"Even in a hybrid format, the primary function of a sunscreen remains protection," says Tireau. The additional benefit creates value but adds formulation complexity. Some ingredients, like retinol, are ruled out for toxicological reasons. This principle is a key differentiator for the company.
To secure development, ALPOL Cosmétique uses a Labsphere for in vitro SPF measurement. This screening tool assesses UV performance early on. It helps reduce the risk of costly failures during later in vivo validation. "It helps secure the development process, shorten timelines and reduce costs for our customers," Tireau adds.
Most of the company's hybrid formulas rely on organic UV filters. These are better suited for the lightweight textures consumers expect. Mineral filters are reserved for specific cases, like sensitive skin. Angéline Tireau explains they tend to produce richer textures and can leave a more visible white cast.
Future Development in Hybrid Sun Care
ALPOL Cosmétique views hybrid sun care as a major growth opportunity despite its formulation challenges. The company plans to continue developing new variations, including stick formats.
Clémence Thory concludes that demand is strong and it is an area where the company holds real expertise. The segment will see further expansion as the daily protection category continues its momentum from Asia into the European market.
