Armani Beauty Celebrates Cinema at the Venice Film Festival
For the ninth year, Armani Beauty was the official beauty sponsor of the Venice Film Festival, launching a new men's fragrance, hosting ambassador events

Armani Beauty has sponsored the Venice Film Festival for the ninth consecutive year. The brand launched its new I WILL Eau de Parfum for men and hosted a series of events with global ambassadors during the festival's opening week.
The partnership aligns with Armani's long and rich history with the world of cinema, having contributed costume design and bringing its timeless elegance to over 100 films, including Richard Gere's legendary suit in American Gigolo, The Untouchables, and The Dark Knight. As the official beauty sponsor, Armani provided makeup services for guests on the opening night at the Hotel Excelsior, a grand old building perched above Lido beach.
The Red Carpet and Premiere
The festival opened with the premiere of Danny Boyle's new film, Ink. The 1970-set period drama chronicles the early days of The Sun newspaper, as new owner Rupert Murdoch (Guy Pearce) and editor Larry Lamb (Jack O'Connell) resort to increasingly extreme tactics to boost sales and dethrone the Daily Mirror. Halfway through, it also turns into a gripping hostage thriller, recounting the abduction of the wife of one of Murdoch's business associates. A reporter for Dazed noted the experience of watching a film almost totally blind, with no prior reviews, and praised the powerhouse performances of O'Connell, Pearce, and Claire Foy.
The premiere began with a Lifetime Achievement Award for George Clooney. Laura Dern delivered a speech in his honor, drawing on their friendship of over 30 years and reading messages from figures including Alexander Payne and Brad Pitt.
Armani's Celebrity Gathering
Armani Beauty gathered its global ambassadors for an intimate dinner in the Royal Gardens. The guest list included figures from film, music, and fashion.
Other guests from the entertainment industry included Owen Thiele, Mary Beth Marone, Paige DeSorbo, and Chaise Sui Wonders. The group sat at one long table for the meal.
Fragrance Launch and Campaign
A key beauty launch for the festival was Armani's new I WILL Eau de Parfum for men. The brand hosted a private screening of the I WILL campaign film, which stars ambassador Jonathan Bailey.
The report concludes with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the red carpet, noting the strict timings and the surreal experience of the event's glamour, where a reporter got separated from their group and was bundled to the side by security.
